Curriculum Week Februray 18-22

What an exciting week we have planned.
Math - We will be continuing our unit called Twos, Fives and Tens. In this unit, your child will focus on counting by 2's, 5's and 10's to 100. This unit will also develop ideas about grouping objects and odd and even.
Reading/ Language Arts: This week we will be reading a story called " On the Job with Dr. Martha Smith" by Claire Daniel. The story is about a veterinarian. The story is actually an interview between the author and the vet. Ask your child to tell you about some of the pets in the shelter where Dr. Martha Smith works. Have your child make a list of things that need to be done to take care of a pet.
Social Studies: February is Dental Health month. This week we will be reading books and discussing why it is important to brush and floss. During this week, your child may ask for your help in counting teeth, identifying healthy foods or compleing a brush chart.
